Grapes
We're relieved to find a new job working with grapes. Actually, so far we've been working with sultanas (raisins to you) and currants. We've been working in the field, pulling off the grapes so they can dry quickly. It's the lowest of the low jobs at the farm, but we're hoping to work in the shed soon, trimming the bad grapes off the bunches. We're on an hourly wage, so that's much nicer than when we were picking pears. We're living at a camp site that has a pool, and a nice air conditioned kitchen/lounge area. We spend our evenings there, playing cards, watching tv or reading, and we're generally the only ones in there.
We like this town much more than the town we picked pears in. Hopefully the job will last a month or two, and we can save some money before moving on again.
Any grapes in NS Clyde??
