It's been a while

Not much has happened so I haven't posted in a while. I spent last weekend at the mountain while Brian paraglided for two days. It wasn't worth writing about, unless you all want to see another picture of Brian paragliding. He has new gear now, actually - got a great deal on some stuff, so bought it even though he already has decent gear. It was too good to pass up.

So we got a new teacher - he arrived Wednesday night. Some of our coworkers took him out drinking that night. Brian and I opted out as it was late. The next day one of those coworkers missed his first class and another missed the first two classes. The new teacher never made it in ... in fact, he ended up at the police station since he couldn't find his way back to his apartment. Not a very good first impression, but... forgivable. Also, (apparently) he got lost again yesterday afternoon, and the woman who helped him happened to be the parent of one of our students. Not a great impression at all. So this morning our director went to pick him up to come to school for the first time. He found him passed out, still drunk.

He's fired. Never even made it to school. We never even met him, but from what we heard, we're all better off without him.
