Life in Korea
Brian has bought his own (popsicle-pink!) paragliding gear. This weekend he added a new toy ... a variometer. It beeps as he assends and differently as he decends. He'll know when he's in a 'thermal', a pocket of faster rising air, so he can circle there and rise higher. He glides a couple times throughout the week these days, so he's getting lots of air time in, and learning lots of new tricks. That takes the pressure off us gliding every weekend, which is fine with me. He has twice as many flights as I have at this point.

We had dinner guests this weekend. Dave and Stu, our Aussie friends who we're planning to travel with come December, came over Sunday night. We had a great time discussing the plans (as well as our Plan B in case they can't join us for the first week... which is a possibility due to conflicts at their school). We got to see all the places on our itinerary with the help of 'Google Earth' - what a fun program that is.
There was another city-wide air raid siren this week. The drill doesn't seem like such a far-fetched idea these days. We're really hoping any action will hold off for the next month and a half until we can get out of this country.
