cherry picking
I'm in Tasmania, alive and well, but paying 8$ an hour for internet. We're working... at a cherry farm. We picked cherries for 2 days, and then got moved to the packing shed. Packing is much better for us - more money involved .... long boring days though. I watch cherries fall off the conveyor belt into a box, pick out bad ones, level the box, weigh it, then change the box. For 9 hours a day. We're living at a campground and we take a ferry to work every day (15 minutes) as the farm is on an island. We'll only be there another week or so as the work will soon run out. We then plan to travel around Tasmania then head back to the mainland.
The car's working well, though we started off with problems. Turns out that with the dual fuel you should only start it in petrol (gasoline). We weren't told this. We had to be towed off the Tasmanian ferry ... so embarrassing. Now we know though, and it's all good.
Still having fun ... wish I had more time (money) to tell you about it.
