Big Buddha

In lieu of going anywhere this vacation, we are going to try to do a few tourist attractions around HK. Today we went to the "Big Buddha". It's one of the biggest sitting buddhas in the world, apparently. We took the cable car up the mountain. The ride up was lovely, but coming back down we shared the car with another couple who made out the entire time ... kissing noises included! It was pretty disrespectful, as we couldn't get away from it. Very unusual, especially since they were an Asian couple in their 50's.

Yes, we found Starbucks up on the mountain. I treated myself to a Christmas Latte before climbing all those stairs.



We had lovely weather - a high of 22c today. The clouds rolled in as we were ready to leave, so we were lucky to have blue skys for our photos.
