How do they get the caramel into a Caramilk Bar?

Still alive and well. We've just finished working with the cherries... not sad to see the end of those. We'll now tour around Tasmania for another week before heading back to the mainland.
Excitements of the past week have included my birthday, a tour of the Cadbury Chocolate Factory, an expensive movie, a new tent, and a crockpot.
My birthday happens to be the same day as Australia Day, which thankfully meant we had the day off from looking at cherries. I relaxed most of the day, and we went to walk around a nice beach area (still too cold to swim or sunbathe). We had scouted out a nice restaurant, but it was closed. The one we ended up at was not good at all, so that was a bit disappointing. Just another day though, right?
A few days before my birthday we celebrated by going to an expensive movie. It's called Gold Class here... not sure if they have it in Canada. You pay through your nose for the ticket, then get to sit in a big lazy boy seat, and have the privilage of paying more and having your meal there. So it costs us (Brian) about 100$ total for dinner and a movie. It was alright for a special occasion, but we probably won't be doing it again. We did see The Pursuit of Happyness, and we really enjoyed that, so at least we didn't waste it on a crappy movie.
Another day (we had a couple days off from the cherries, waiting for them to ripen) we went to the Cadbury chocolate factory for a tour. It was interesting... didn't cost that much, so it was worth it. We had a few samples at the end, and got to buy discounted chocolate, so that was nice. We're busy trying to eat it all now before it melts :P
We also splurged and bought a bigger tent. We had been in a two man tent, basically living out of our car. We've upgraded to a 4 man tent that has two rooms and we can stand up. We feel like we're in a castle in comparison. It'll be nice for when we're in a place long term (working), but we'll keep the small one for when we just stop in a place overnight.
Some of our friends at the campsite (also working with the cherries) had a crockpot that Brian drooled over. He ended up buying one, so when we're at a campsite with electricity, he can cook us a big roast dinner. Yes, he does most of the cooking. I couldn't even get our gas stove turned on the other day. :S
It's been very cold here despite the fact that it's summer. Everyone says it's unusual, but we've been here a month and it's still cold. I guess it's because we're so close to the South Pole.
We plan on working again soon after we get back to the mainland. We're feeling a bit poor so we'll stock up on cash before we head for Western Australia.
Hopefully I'll be able to put some pics on my site next week. Check back then.
