weekly update

Another cruise finished. Just two more to go, so this'll be my last time in each port (for a while, anyway).
Funny story: Last Miami I went for lunch with my coworkers at Bubba Gumps, a nice restaurant near the ship. We were seated outside on a beautiful day, in the shade of a tree. Well, there were birds in the tree. Yep, you guessed it - one of my friends got pooped on. The waitress said it had never happened before, and allowed my friend to pick out a free t-shirt from the giftshop. Thinking it was a rare occurance, we went on with ordering our food. Less than 15 minutes later, the same thing happened to the same girl. Back she went to the gift shop to pick out another t-shirt. How embarassing. But it made for a good laugh. She moved seats after that one. Unfortunately there were no other tables for us to move to. Luckily, the birds left after that, and we all enjoyed our meal. It's supposed to be good luck to have a bird poop on you. I'm not sure if it's the same when it happens twice in 15 minutes.

I got to see Neal, an ex of mine in one of our ports last week. He's on another ship that docks there. It was great to see him and hang out again. We have another date planned for this week.

Steve's left his ship now - home in Wales for the big Rugby match tomorrow -Go Wales! Doesn't know his work details yet, but sometime next week will be shipped off .... maybe to Curacao for 10 days and then on to India ... Baltimore plans are scrapped now. We'll see what the story is when it happens, I guess.
