Day 3 in Fiji

Today is our third day in Fiji and we finally have a lovely day. We arrived in rain and clouds. It was a bit discouraging. On our first day we got our bearings and got over jet lag. We walked around with our wedding planner to look at locations and discuss the plans. BTW, I've been emailing this wedding planner, Tevita, for about two months now. I was a bit shocked to get here and meet HIM. All this time I had thought he was a she ... as Brian points out, he does have long hair and wears a skirt .... Anyway, the weather is looking good for Thursday, but high tide is at 4:10pm (with the wedding scheduled for 4:15). There is less than 10 feet of beach at high tide. There are two options: change the wedding time to about 1pm, or change the location of the wedding. The problem with changing the time is that we only have our photographer for 2.5 hours. We would then miss getting sunset pictures. There's a nice deck area near the water that is our next best choice. We'll keep the time at 4:15 and have the wedding there on the deck. Oh well. We can still get some photos of us on the beach, but to have the whole ceremony there seems like we'd be pushing it.

Here we are enjoying our first night of vacation.

Yesterday we did a tour to a village and a boat trip up a river to a waterfall. The water was cold, as you can tell by the look on my face. I didn't stay in very long.
